POCATELLO — Two Pocatello residents are facing drug-related charges.

Kristi Caldwell, 37, has been charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. Kody Kiggins, 32, has been charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance.

Hearings that will determine if there is enough evidence to take their cases to trial have been set for Sept. 26.

Pocatello police say they arrested Caldwell and Kiggins on warrants and for drug possession on Sept. 12.

The incident began when a probation officer, who was checking on Kiggins, found drug paraphernalia at an apartment on the 4700 block of South Fifth and contacted police.

Police say they responded to the scene and located a baggie containing a small amount of methamphetamine, which allegedly belonged to Kiggins.

In addition, they found a backpack, which reportedly belonged to Caldwell. It contained a glass pipe, syringe and two spoons, police said, adding that they also found methamphetamine residue on the items.

Caldwell also allegedly had a prescription pain pill in her pocket, police said.
