POCATELLO — Authorities have arrested a 42-year-old Pocatello man on drug-related charges.
Pocatello police took Gator W. Troyer into custody on Thursday.
They say the incident began when officers responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash in the area of Quinn and Hurley. Troyer was driving one of the vehicles involved.
While officers were investigating the crash, a witness reported that Troyer had put something into the bushes on the side of the road, police said. An officer subsequently looked in that area and found a baggie of methamphetamine.
Troyer has since been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for destroying, altering or concealing evidence, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. He’s also facing two infractions in connection to the crash: failing to provide proof of insurance and following too closely while driving.
