BOISE — Idaho retailers are preparing for an increase in player traffic, prompting Idaho Lottery officials to remind everyone to play responsibly.

This is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since the game’s world record run in March 2012, according to a news release.

“Big Mega Millions jackpots make it more fun to imagine winning the big jackpot, whether you’re playing alone or in a group,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery director. “Just remember, play what you can afford, not go overboard. It does only take one ticket to win.”

Mega Millions tickets are $1 each.

“While this is business as usual, we do expect our retail locations to see an increase in foot traffic over the next few days as sales have already been brisk for both our holiday Raffle game and Mega Millions,” Anderson said.
