BLACKFOOT — Stan Cook, the founder of Blacker’s Complete Home Furnishings with stores in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls and an official for the Pocatello Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died Tuesday of an apparent heart attack at an Idaho Falls hospital, acquaintances said Wednesday.

Ray Matsuura, church communications director for the Blackfoot area, said Cook served as the first counselor in the Pocatello Temple presidency, and he was halfway through a three-year calling.
