Flooding on a Chubbuck street as the result of heavy rainfall on Tuesday

Idaho Falls dispatchers were fielding two new calls every few minutes Tuesday evening as residents called to report emergencies related to flooding in the city.

In all, dispatchers answered 341 emergency calls between 7 p.m. and midnight, an average of more than one call a minute.
