A 20-year-old Chubbuck man has been charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
Jayden Hicks was charged with the felony crime for an incident that allegedly occurred on Sept. 1, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for resisting or obstructing officers.
Chubbuck police say the incident began when they responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on the 200 block of West Chubbuck.
While they were trying to gain control of the situation, Hicks allegedly threw an item at an officer, striking him in the shoulder, police said. They subsequently took Hicks into custody.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
