Firefighters from several fire departments with help from air tankers have contained a wildfire burning in Southeast Idaho.
The blaze was reported around 3:30 p.m. Thursday about 13 miles north of Preston in Franklin County.
The fire had consumed 363 acres of private land between Johnson and Treasureton roads before firefighters contained it on Friday evening. The fire is expected to be fully extinguished shortly.
The wildfire did not result in any injuries or evacuations and no structures were damaged or threatened by the flames, according to the East Idaho Interagency Fire Center in Idaho Falls.
Emergency personnel from 12 agencies responded to the blaze, which was ignited by farm equipment being used on private property, authorities said.
The fire scorched grass, brush and juniper trees in rugged terrain.
Firefighters received help dousing the flames from several air tankers and a helicopter.
