POCATELLO REBELS 25, SODA SPRINGS 1 (4)

The Single-A Pocatello Rebels throttled Soda Springs 25-1 in four innings Wednesday at Halliwell Park in the Pocatello Razorbacks/BSN SPORTS 2019 Wood Bat tournament.

Pocatello had six players tally at least two hits, led by three apiece from Colton Sneddon and Kyler Spracklen. Sneddon and Trem Tolman combined to hold Soda Springs to one hit on the mound.

The Rebels (6-10-2) play Twin Falls on Thursday in tournament play at Halliwell Park.

MARSH VALLEY 19, BEAR LAKE 0 (5)

MARSH VALLEY 13, BEAR LAKE 4

Single-A Marsh Valley used its offensive power to sweep Wednesday’s doubleheader at Bear Lake, winning 19-0 in five innings and 13-4.

Marsh Valley had 18 hits in the opener, led by a game-high four from Payton Howe, who added four RBIs. Teammate James Bodily struck out 12 batters on the mound to earn the win. Bear Lake’s Ashton Carlsen had one hit.

Marsh Valley had 16 hits in the nightcap, as Jace Larsen led the squad with two hits and four RBIs. Austin Grunig had the Bears’ lone RBI.

Marsh Valley (7-0) hosts Burley on Monday for a doubleheader.

BLACKFOOT 9, UPPER VALLEY 8

UPPER VALLEY 14, BLACKFOOT 9 (6)

Double-A Blackfoot split Wednesday’s home doubleheader against Upper Valley, winning 9-8 before losing 14-9 in six innings.

In game one, the Broncos’ Carlos Pimentel tied the game 8-8 in the bottom of the seventh with a two-RBI triple, and Juan Pimentel added the game-winning RBI single one batter later.

In game two, Upper Valley scored five runs in the top of the fifth to take a 14-9 advantage and never looked back. Candon Dahle had two hits and two RBIs in the loss.

Blackfoot (4-11) hosts the Pocatello Runnin Rebels on Saturday for a doubleheader.

BLACKFOOT 15, DECLO 4 (5)

Single-A Blackfoot used 14 hits to beat Declo 15-4 in five innings Wednesday at Halliwell Park in the Pocatello Razorbacks/BSN SPORTS 2019 Wood Bat tournament.

Tyler Vance had two hits and three RBIs for the Broncos (6-7), who continue tournament play AT Halliwell Park on Thursday against Thunder Ridge, which beat Hillcrest 11-1 in five innings Tuesday in tournament action.
