Shawn Michael Lee Thompson

BLACKFOOT — A Blackfoot man was sentenced this week for video voyeurism.

Shawn Michael Lee Thompson was sentenced Monday to serve between two and five years in prison for the crime; however, the Court retained jurisdiction in the case and recommended that he receive treatment through a traditional Rider program, said Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Cleve B. Colson.

Thompson was charged with video voyeurism by disseminating, publishing or selling any image or images without mutual consent, according to court records.

Colson said Thompson displayed a video on Facebook that showed him and his girlfriend involved in a sexual act, and he did not have her permission to do so.
