ABERDEEN — The Aberdeen High School Cheer Team went to the Idaho State Cheer competition March 21 at the Idaho Center in Nampa.

They completed another perfect season by bringing home first-place wins in pom, sideline, coed show, and girls’ stunt group. They also brought home the state championship banner and trophy. This feat is even more amazing because this year’s team consisted of 15 students, with almost half of the team being new on the squad — proving that hard work pays off.

This year two boys also joined the team.

Aberdeen cheer also won the state title last year, which means they made Aberdeen history as the first back-to-back state title winners.

The coaches and team wish to thank the many supporters, family members, students and friends who helped them reach this high achievement.
