POCATELLO — Officers with the Pocatello police department have located Shadice Simpkins,17, of Pocatello, who was reported missing Monday evening.

Simpkins was located at Century High School shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to her mother, Wakia Dyers.

Dyers thanked those who contacted authorities with information about her daughter's whereabouts Tuesday afternoon.

POCATELLO — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a local girl who has been missing for more than 24 hours.

Shadice Simpkins, 17, of Pocatello, has not been seen since she and her mother were getting ready for school and work, respectively, Monday morning.

The mother, Wakia Dyers, thought her daughter got on the school bus to go to Century High School Monday morning, but later received a notification from the school stating Simpkins missed one or more periods of class, police said.

Dyers has not been able to reach her daughter via cellphone since Monday morning, Dyers said.
