Hard working young professionals are key to a vibrant community and the thriving region. We know this age group is busy with families and establishing a career. There are many individuals in this group who go above and beyond the necessary day-to-day tasks to better themselves, their businesses and the community. So, we created this event for them, the young professionals who contribute to the success and growth in our community through business. We want to bring attention to their work. To do that, we need your input. Please take a few minutes to nominate someone you know who deserves to be recognized.

On May 29, 2018, at the prestigious Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello, the Idaho State Journal is hosting an event — sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union — catered toward southeast Idaho's many fine high school athletes.
We believe southeast Idaho has some of the best athletes in the state. The body of work speaks for itself. It seems there are always plenty of schools from our region that get to hoist that coveted state trophy at the end of their respective seasons and countless individuals taking their athletic and academic careers to new heights at the collegiate level.
We'd like to honor their achievements in a big way.
We know that kids in Southeast Idaho are doing amazing things. From raising money for local charities to helping to prevent bullying, these kids are showing that good things can come in small packages.
The Kids Matter event will shine a spotlight on these students. While there are many events that focus on the athletic and academic accomplishments of local students, this one will focus on good deeds, kindness, community involvement, friendship and more of the goodness that kids in our neighborhoods are creating every day.
