POCATELLO — The Pocatello Municipal Band will present its first concert of the 2019 season of Music in the Park on Sunday, June 30, starting at 7 p.m. in the Guy Gate’s Memorial band shell at Ross Park. Join us to celebrate our great country’s Independence Day. To mark the band’s 85th year, J.R. Simplot Co. will sponsor the concert and provide ice cream to all in attendance. The guest conductor will be picked by Simplot. As a special treat, our guest soloist is trumpet player Zach Buie, who recently accepted the position of Professor of Trumpet at Boise State University. Zach will play “Oliver’s Birthday” by Bruce Broughton.
