POCATELLO — This week the Pocatello Parkinson’s group will be sponsoring three activities. The first will be the weekly Move and Shout exercise class which will occur on Tuesday at 5 p.m. It will be held at the Monte Vista Hills Healthcare Center at 1071 Renee. This class provides the opportunity to exercise both voice and muscles for Parkinson’s or other movement disorder patients and their caregivers. On Thursday the weekly therapeutic dance class will be held at 4 p.m. at the Sullivan Mobile Home Park 1935 S. 5th Ave. This class gives those with movement disorders a chance to practice dance moves to voice instructions.

Then on Saturday at noon, our monthly luncheon will be held at the Senior Center 427 N. 6th Ave. It will be a potluck luncheon, and anyone with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders, along with family and caregivers, are invited to be in attendance. Bring a dish to share with others. This luncheon is intended as a social gathering of those involved in any way with Parkinson’s, etc. and will be held on the second Saturday of each month at noon at the Senior Center unless announced otherwise.
