On July 20, 1959, on their second attempt to tie-the-knot, Edward Fenwick Wahl and Judy Beth Weir were married in the home of Judge Hyde on S. 10th Ave. in Pocatello, Idaho. Ed was working for Fred’s Tire at that time. He then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad on the section gang until his retirement. Ed was also active in the Army National Guard of which he also retired from. Judy worked as the head of housekeeping at Motel Six until her retirement. In their early years of marriage, Ed and Judy moved to Burley, Idaho, with their two young children, Stacy Lynn and Steve. Judy then became pregnant with their third child, Robyn.

After her birth, the family moved back to and settled in Pocatello where they raised their three children, Stacy Burns (Don) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Steve (Michelle) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Robyn Walters (Brian) of Pocatello. All three of Ed and Judy’s children have fond memories of their parents always dancing together in the kitchen of their home and going for long car rides on Sundays. Ed and Judy also enjoyed spending time with friends at the Rim Rock. Ed and Judy were proud of their three children and loved their family time. Their greatest joy is spending time with their kids, 10 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids. They never miss acknowledging a birthday or holiday. Their family will be honoring them at the annual Weir family reunion on July 20 at Ross Park.
