POCATELLO — Wyeth Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors the DAR Good Citizens Essay Contest every year. This contest recognizes and rewards high school seniors who excel in dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. The essay component is a timed, monitored essay question administered by the high school the student is attending. The winners of the essay contest are awarded a certificate for being the DAR Good Citizen in their high school. A monetary award is given to the first, second and third place winners.

Wyeth Chapter, NSDAR, is proud to sponsor this essay contest. This year, one of the winners was Mariana Leon from Century High School. We applaud Mariana for her accomplishments both in school and in the community.

Wyeth Chapter, NSDAR, has been active in Pocatello since 1915. We meet at the Veterans Memorial Building from September through May. If you are interested in learning more about the Daughters of the American Revolution, contact Verna at 208-237-3527.
