Brooklyn’s Playground in Pocatello is turning 10 years old, and organizers are planning a celebration and memorial walk.

POCATELLO — Brooklyn’s Playground will celebrate its 10th anniversary and hold a memorial walk for Maria Neumann from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at OK Ward Park, 1400 W. Quinn Road in Pocatello.

The memorial walk starts at 4:15 and the dinner starts at 5 p.m.

The 10th anniversary of Brooklyn’s Playground celebrates the amazing accomplishment of the community to bring an inclusive playground to our area.

This playground has served thousands and thousands of people over the last 10 years, and we want it to continue to do so for many more decades to come.

This event will help us raise money for long-term surface and equipment repairs.

The anniversary celebration will have carnival games and booths set up for entertainment.

The memorial walk is for the late Maria Neumann who did so much for this project and many others.

Tickets are $15 per person. Individuals with a disability get in free. Group/family discounts are five for the price of four.
