The Family History Center of Arimo, Idaho, is sponsoring a pioneer event from 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 22 at the Arimo Stake Center.

Help us “Celebrate Our Pioneer Heritage.”

Everyone is invited and there will be things to do for the whole family. We will have outdoor and indoor activities. Pull your family in a handcart and experience what your ancestors might have felt on their long journey to Zion. Watch how wool is spun into yarn. If you have an antique you would like to display on the antique table, bring it with you and a little bit of history about it.

We’ll have a “Tell My Story” area with a few short, but exciting stories you can read from the lives of real pioneer people. Browse through the history books of our Marsh Valley area, which will be on display.

There will be two age groups for a BINGO scavenger hunt: 11 to 18 years and 19 years all the way up to the young at heart. You’ll need a phone for the hunt. Participation in the hunt will put your name in a drawing for prizes.

Take a “selfie” of yourself and your family at the photo booth — props provided. Just bring your phone or camera. Play computer games using your ancestors’ facts.

Enjoy entertainment provided by Jill and Cory Webster. Light refreshments will be served. You are welcome to come dressed as pioneers.
