Idaho Gov. Brad Little will speak about his economic development plans for Idaho on Sept. 27 during Bannock Development Corporation's Annual Economic Symposium in Pocatello.

Idaho Central Credit Union is once again the premier sponsor of the Economic Symposium.

Brian Berrett, chief financial officer of Idaho Central Credit Union, said that “Idaho Central Credit Union has been a supporter of Bannock Development for many years and we are happy to be the premier sponsor of their Economic Symposium. We love Bannock County; it is a great place for people to live, have careers and raise families.”

He added, “This is home to us and that is no accident. Bannock County is a great place to do business."

At a ceremony on Sept. 19, Idaho Central Credit Union presented a check for $15,000 to Bannock Development Corporation. Receiving the symposium sponsorship was Brandon Lance, chairman of Bannock Development, along with other board directors.

Lance said, “ICCU contributes so much to our community from the economic impact of 700 employees in Bannock County to investments like this. The beautiful buildings on this campus make us all very proud and we show them to all the prospects we bring to town. We thank you very much for this sponsorship and for all you do for our community."

Rick Phillips, fundraising chair and past chairman, facilitated the check presentation ceremony and summarized the importance of Idaho Central Credit Union’s symposium sponsorship.

“This investment enables Bannock Development to give our community a look into what makes economic development work and we really appreciate it," Phillips said. "It also significantly supports our efforts to attract jobs and investment to our community."

Bannock Development Corporation’s Annual Economic Symposium is in its 28th year and presents current economic development projects and trends to the community.

The symposium will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. Admission can be purchased at
