Living on Love

Old Town Actors Studio will be putting on a production of “Living on Love” this month.

POCATELLO — Old Town Actors Studio will be putting on a production of “Living on Love” by Joe DiPietro, a farce with music, on Friday and Saturday and Sept. 9, 13, 14, 16, 20 and 21.

Set in a Manhattan penthouse owned by the Maestro Vito De Angelis (Geoffrey Bennett) and his wife, the opera diva Raquel De Angelis (Diana Livingston-Friedley), a young ghostwriter, Robert Samson (Levi Bruner), has been attempting for weeks to write the autobiography of the maestro. To his frustration, the maestro is constantly late to interviews or making up stories about his love life, but Robert stays on the project because he is obsessed with the maestro’s opera singer wife. Meanwhile, the Maestro feels that he deserves nothing less than Earnest Hemmingway writing his biography.

The delightful production is directed by Jason Bartosic.
