BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A former national Republican official from Idaho who is in jail for stalking a former girlfriend likely won't face disciplinary action by the State Bar Association, according to his attorney.

Blake Hall, an Idaho Falls lawyer who quit a post this week representing Idaho on the GOP National Committee, was sentenced for misdemeanor stalking Friday after pleading guilty.

The 56-year-old lawyer began serving 15 days in jail Saturday.

In a police report, one of Hall's former divorce clients also contends he had sex with her after returning her legal fees.

David Leroy, Hall's attorney, told the Idaho Statesman on Wednesday he doesn't "expect there to be any bar inquiry based on the guilty plea to the single stalking count or any matter detailed in the police reports."

An attorney for the bar association declined to comment.
