IDAHO FALLS — Two men are charged with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace after Idaho Falls Police Department officers say they were called to the 200 block of 18th street around 10:50 p.m. last Saturday in reference to a noise complaint.

Victor Madrigal, 41, of Idaho Falls, also faces one count of battery on an officer. He is accused of headbutting one of the officers during his arrest. Victor Delosant Madrigal, 40, of Idaho Falls, is the other man that was taken into custody on Aug. 31.

According to the police report, officers confronted a group of ten at the residence where a party was being held. Victor Madrigal reportedly began yelling and swearing upon their arrival.

Victor Madrigal refused to be quiet, which officers say prompted them to place him under arrest for disturbing the peace. Victor Madrigal is said to have then retreated into the residence, while Victor Delosant Madrigal and others blocked the doorway.

According to police, Victor Delosant Madrigal pushed an officer back to keep him from entering the home. Victor Delosant Madrigal was then tased by the officer.      Additional officers were called for assistance.

IFPD officials indicated that both men physically resisted the officers arrest. The two men were taken to the Bonneville County Jail.
