POCATELLO — Twelve people were arrested over the weekend in the Bannock County area and face varying criminal charges.

    Jason Alexander Otero, 30, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol with a child in the vehicle. Pocatello police charged him with DUI and injury to a child.

    Kevin James Porrett, 37, was also charged with DUI, as well as driving without privileges, a second offense, and resisting and obstructing. According to the police report, a warrant was obtained in order to conduct a blood draw after he refused a breath test.

    After the blood draw, PPD officers attempted to re-handcuff Porrett, and they say  attempted to hit an officer. After arriving at the jail, officials say he then began fighting with the jail staff.

    Rylan Rashad Pokibro, 18, was charged with underage DUI last Saturday.

    In addition, James Thomas Carroll, 63, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Authorities say he also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

    Dalton James Gilgen, 20, reportedly had a warrant out for his arrest as well. When police caught up to him, they say he provided a false name.

    As a result, officers charged Gilgen with one count of providing a false name to law enforcement.

    Jose Antonio Garcia, Jr.,  23, had two outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to police. He was taken into custody on Jan. 11.

    The following individuals were taken into custody in connection with one outstanding warrant: Justin K. Hoskins, 33, Travis Wade Leonard, 44, Andrew Johnathen Peters, 26, Gonnie Chad Louis Mendez, 32, Eric Eugene Vaughn, 43, and Angela Cheyenne Hansen, 30.

  All of the accused were incarcerated at the Bannock County Jail.
