POCATELLO — Authorities were involved in a short pursuit Monday that ended with three people being arrested.
Michael J. Swallow, 31, of Pocatello, is charged with felony eluding an officer, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, as well as resisting and obstructing arrest. Pocatello Police Department officials indicated that he also had a warrant out for his arrest.
Around 2 p.m., police say they attempted to stop a car driven by Swallow. They indicated that he eventually discontinued the pursuit along Zener Street.
The two female passengers inside were also taken into custody on outstanding warrants and charges of resisting and obstructing, along with possession of methamphetamine. They are Shanna Dawn Tupyi Negus, 36, of Pocatello, and Jennifer Kay Repass, 29, of Pingree.
In addition, Elesa Dawn Hart, 39, of Pocatello, was taken into custody overnight in connection with two outstanding warrants. She also faces a drug-related charge.
All individuals were taken to the Bannock County Jail.
